Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to lead a crew in the Pasadena, TX area. You will interpret blueprints, assign tasks, supervise workers and ensure safe, efficient production in accordance with client requirements.

Requirements include a minimum of 4 years as a Mechanic A/Journeyman, a high school diploma or equivalent, and post-offer drug testing. Willingness to work extended hours and pass pre-employment screenings is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Mechanic A/Journeyman.
• Written pre-employment qualification test required.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test completed.
• Turner industries indoctrination may be required.
• OSHA approved safety eyewear (Z87) required.
• Job site orientation completed.
• Client safety requirements (dress code, PPE) followed.
• Safety equipment usage as required by client (hard hat, boots, respirator, etc.)
• Background check and pre-employment screening passed.

• No Per Diem, Ideal for local candidate
• Candidate must be available to work extended hours and callouts, schedule subject to change

• NCCER highly preferred

General Job Description:

Exercises independent judgment and supervises and directs a group of workers engaged chiefly in one occupation.

Functional Requirements:

Interprets blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal orders; assigns duties, lines up and follows up all work and is responsible for production of the unit; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; analyzes and resolves work related problems; implements safety programs; ensures job site materials and equipment are in good condition; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
