Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Mechanical Field Engineer to support a combined cycle power project in Corpus Christi, TX. You will coordinate field activities, interpret drawings, and ensure installation aligns with contract specs and drawings.

You will liaise with engineering, construction leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to resolve technical questions and maintain schedule. This role requires 6+ years in construction management or field engineering on power facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• PE license or degree plus 4 years design experience and 6+ years construction experience.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical piping and equipment installation activities for power projects.
• Interpret design drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to resolve technical questions.
• Prepare site reports, take-offs, and maintain conformed drawings and project records.
