Job summary

Kiewit Industrial District is seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to lead field teams across multiple project sites in heavy industrial environments such as refineries and chemical plants. You will supervise piping crews, collaborate with project teams, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on self-performed projects.

The role requires travel to project locations nationwide, strong problem-solving, and leadership to mentor craft personnel.

Qualifications

5+ years in self-perform construction, with at least 3+ years as Superintendent managing craft employees.
Understanding state license requirements for journeymen vs apprentices for piping work.
3+ years of piping construction experience.
Knowledge of safety, scheduling, cost control, drawings, procurement, estimating.
Proven ability to supervise and mentor craft workers.

Responsibilities

Lead piping scope as Superintendent, overseeing foremen and craft workers on heavy industrial projects.
Coordinate with field engineering, PM, CM and technical teams to address piping challenges.
Interface with subcontractors, clients, inspectors, and leadership to keep workflow on track.
Resolve conflicts and staffing issues, escalating when needed.
Assist in planning schedules, labor, materials, and equipment for piping systems.
Enforce safety, attendance, and conduct policies per company standards.
Develop lookahead schedules and ensure inspections and testing are scheduled.
