Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support daily inspection and construction activities for a GE 7HA simple cycle gas turbine project in Pecos, TX. You will work under the Lead Mechanical Field Engineer, delivering field engineering expertise, planning, material management, and quality control on a major energy infrastructure deployment.

The role emphasizes safety, deliverable quality, and coordination with subcontractors, with a focus on continuous learning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of related work experience.
Experience on Simple Cycle or Combined Cycle facilities is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of codes such as ASME B31.1, API 650, etc.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ES&H and quality focus.
Experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare construction drawings and schedules; design temporary facilities and ensure as-built drawings.
Initiate field purchases and prepare quantity takeoffs for materials and equipment.
Verify commodities on quantity tracking systems and databases.
Ensure zero-accident safety philosophy and safe operation of tools and equipment.
Develop understanding of system scoping and drawings for package development.
Review inspection test plans and coordinate submittals with subcontractors.
