Job summary

Nox Group is seeking a Technical Engineer – Mechanical to support the design-to-construction process on large-scale projects across the country. This role bridges the design team with field operations, ensuring constructability and adherence to codes through all delivery phases.

You will review mechanical documents, manage RFIs and submittals, and collaborate with field superintendents to resolve issues in real time. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and PE/EIT preferred are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design or construction.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection codes and standards for large-scale industrial construction.
  • Ability to read and evaluate mechanical deliverables and coordinate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify design gaps and constructability issues before they reach the field.
  • Serve as primary engineering resource bridging design team and field operations.
  • Review mechanical design documents for code compliance and constructability; track comments to resolution.
  • Support RFIs and submittals processes to align with field construction needs and contract documents.
  • Coordinate design-build, delegated design, and design-assist scopes with engineering subconsultants.
  • Collaborate with field superintendents to resolve technical issues in real time; support commissioning and closeout.
