Project Overview

Select candidate placed on Liquefied Natural Gas Plant Projects in the U.S. Gulf Coast Region; may be required to relocate to other Global Business Units. Candidate should have construction industry experience in energy (liquefied natural gas), manufacturing and technology, infrastructure, mining & minerals, and nuclear, security & environmental sectors; full mobility expected.

Job Summary

Provide project field engineering specialization with expertise in work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, technical inspection, and subcontract coordination to ensure activities operate safely and meet project requirements.

Major Responsibilities
Work Planning & Packaging
  • Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
  • Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules, designs temporary construction facilities, and ensures preparation of as built drawings and other job plans.
Material Management
  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Quantities
  • Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Safety / Quality Control
  • Ensures zero-accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and ensures tools and equipment are safe and operated safely.
Technical
  • Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
System Turnover Coordinator
  • Develops a firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
STR / Subcontract Coordinator
  • Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
  • Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8‑10 years of relevant experience or 12‑14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience in overseeing the installation and inspection of rotating and static equipment.
  • Experience in commissioning of rotating and/or static equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in LNG process systems.
  • Experience with BookBuilder and UPV is preferred.
  • Experience in managing TEAMWorks data and reporting quantities in TEAMWorks.
  • Familiarity with ASME and API standards.
Physical and Safety Requirements

Field inspections require extensive walking in and around a construction site, often in high heat and humidity; climbing ladders, scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and confined spaces; some lifting may be required. Must be able to walk in and out of the project (enter/egress) and use appropriate standard‑issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.
