Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Mechanical Fabricator to fabricate, assemble, weld, and repair TAIT products. The role requires MIG, TIG, and FCAW knowledge and experience. You will deliver finished quality products to clients within estimated time while working with precision engineering and cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting correct materials, ensuring quality, following fabrication techniques, and maintaining tool and equipment. Physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of welding techniques.
• Fabrication and mechanical assembly experience.
• Basic knowledge of welding symbols.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment is a plus.
• Ability to learn TAIT software (Epicor, Slack, Box).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints, drawings.
• Ensure correct material/products are used in the project.
• Evaluate the quality of materials, parts, and equipment before fabrication.
• Adhere to and implement proper fabrication and assembly techniques.
• Utilize general fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances and product specs.
• Conduct quality checks at assignment completion.
• Maintain traceability by reporting as-built modifications.
• Safely handle materials manually and with lifting equipment.
• Monitor tools for wear and report equipment issues.
• Understand maintenance of specified equipment.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
