Job summary

GPR Company at Daniel Road site in New Jersey seeks a hands-on mechanical assembler to turn engineered concepts into production-ready chambers and assemblies. You will install/remove Helicoils, fit components, and verify specifications before release.

This role requires practical mechanical experience, the ability to read customer drawings, and strong English communication. You will work with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet exacting customer standards and ensure successful

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit mechanical components into chambers and final assemblies for testing.
  • Install and remove Helicoils as required.
  • Diagnose assembly issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Perform final cleaning per customer standards and procedures.
  • Conduct in-process inspections; document conformance and report any damage.
  • Confirm completion of all assembly, finishing, and testing activities prior to sign-off.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality to satisfy customer quality expectations.

Join our Assembly & Test team at the Daniel Road location and help transform engineered concepts into production-ready mechanical chambers and assemblies. You’ll own the craft—installing/removing Helicoils, fitting components, cleansing to specification, and verifying that every requirement is met before release.

Mission and responsibilities

In this role, your craftsmanship and judgment ensure our customers receive products that meet exacting standards.

  • Assemble and fit mechanical components into chambers and final assemblies for testing.
  • Install and remove Helicoils as required.
  • Diagnose assembly issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Perform final cleaning per customer standards and procedures.
  • Conduct in-process inspections; document conformance and report any damage.
  • Confirm completion of all assembly, finishing, and testing activities prior to sign-off.

QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or GED
Background

Hands-on mechanical experience with cars, trucks, small engines, and/or body work.

3–5 years of mechanical assembly experience is a plus.

Skilled at interpreting customer engineering drawings and specifications.

Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Able to read technical procedures, professional journals, business periodicals, and regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedures; present information and respond to inquiries from supervisors, managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Mathematics

Comfort with probability and statistical inference; understanding of plane and solid geometry and basic trigonometry; adept at using fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical scenarios.

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and reach valid conclusions; interpret diverse instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form; manage abstract and concrete variables.

  • Regular reaching with hands/arms; frequent talking/hearing; standing, walking, sitting; and hands/fingers for handling or feeling.
