Job summary

FORCE America in Brookfield, WI is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble, disassemble and repair specific product lines. You will use a range of hand and power tools, follow work instructions, and contribute to meeting quality, quantity and customer specifications.

You will work in a team-focused environment with safety as a priority, maintain orderly work area, and document transactions in Manufacturing Execution software while supporting continuous improvement and timely expediting as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of relevant work experience, preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize to meet customer expectations.
• Detail oriented to provide the highest level of quality.

• Assemble fundamental components in accordance with the work instructions utilizing a combination of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Assemble entry-level products to meet established standards for quality, quantity, efficiency, and customer specifications.
• Communicate with appropriate parties in relation to expedited orders, component quality issues, inventory records, etc.
• Work safely by adhering to all safety policies and procedures and contributing to ongoing safety improvements.
• Maintain an orderly work environment.
• Maintain system accuracy and record transactions in Manufacturing Execution software.
• Participate as a team member to achieve goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Distribution and Valve: There are periodic high noise levels and vibration associated with this job. Sources include: engine noise, air compressors, air powered equipment, and other shop noises. Hearing protection should be used in these environments.

• Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of those commonly associated with this type of work.- Air power tools, electric drill, drill press, crimping machines, grinders (both hand and bench), wrenches, heat guns, lathe, torches, welders, a variety of hand tools, mills, and electric cords. • Must be able to lift objects from floor to above shoulder level. Must be able to move objects/parts/tools and equipment from one area to another and one level to another level.
