Job summary

Vaughn Industries is seeking a full-time Mechanical Estimator to support its Mechanical Estimating Department. This role can be based in Carey or Lewis Center, OH, and involves take-off of materials, labor and equipment for bids.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction, can read drawings/specs, and is proficient with Excel and estimating processes. Excellent benefits accompany competitive wages for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Experience coordinating & performing all aspects of the estimation process.
• Experience reading & interpreting specifications, drawings and plans.
• Willingness to train & grow in the department.
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, mobile apps).

Responsibilities

• Estimate projects in a designated system by preparing accurate take-off of materials, labor and equipment.
• Attend pre-bid meetings as required.
• Review bid addendums and add or delete cost from bid accordingly.
