Job summary

Vaughn Industries is seeking a full-time construction Estimator to support our Estimating Department on the Carey, Ohio office. The role involves preparing precise take-offs for materials, labor and equipment and attending pre-bid meetings to ensure bids reflect accurate costs.

Ideal candidates will have experience reading drawings/specs and coordinating estimation processes within the Substation Division, with strong Excel and organizational skills to grow within the department.

Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, mobile apps).
• Experience in a construction company as an estimator or skilled tradesman (preferred).
• Willingness to train & grow in the department.
• Organizational & communication skills.

Description

Vaughn Industries is currently seeking a full time constructionEstimator to support our Estimating Department on the Carey, Ohio office. Vaughn Industries is an OSHA VPP Star contractor.

Duties:

• Estimate projects in a designated system by preparing accurate take-off of materials, labor and equipment
• Attend pre-bid meetings as required
• Review bid addendums and add or delete cost from bid accordingly

Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree and/or experience in any of the following:

• Experience coordinating & performing all aspects of the estimation process of all projects being bid within the Substation Division
• Experience reading & interpreting standard specifications, drawings and plans associated with the estimates
• Experience working in the construction industry

Requirements
