Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; 3 years of direct estimating experience (or equivalent).
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Quotesoft, Accubid, Oracle, and PowerBI is desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lump sum bids, proposals, unit costs, and quantities for varied projects.
• Consult with clients, procurement, subcontractors, and vendors to discuss estimates.
• Interface with Procurement and Operations to obtain support for estimates.
• Analyze historical data and suggest improvements to reduce discrepancies.
• Identify cost trends and assist in cost reduction and process improvement.
• Review plans and specs for risk issues and mitigation strategies.
• Assemble material and labor costs for proposals and bids.
• Prepare and deliver bid packages to subcontractors and present estimating information at pre-bid meetings.
