Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Associate Mechanical Estimator to support estimating across multiple projects. The role focuses on discipline and multi‑discipline take-offs, labor and subcontract costs, and data entry for estimates.

You may assist with larger estimates and preliminary work packages in a collaborative, field-facing environment. The position requires 2+ years in estimation, a construction management degree is preferred, and field experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in estimating or related field.
• BS or MS in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Field or project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and/or compiles discipline and multi‑discipline material take‑offs (MTOs).
• Evaluates and/or develops labor rates and subcontract costs.
• Enters information into a spreadsheet or database for inclusion in an estimate.
• Assists in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments.
• Assist the Pre‑Construction/Estimating team in developing preliminary Work Packages.
