Position Summary:

The Mechanical Engineering Specialist – North America is a critical technical resource responsible for supporting Loadrite’s distributors across the North America region, ensuring the seamless operation and adoption of Loadrite products. This role combines technical expertise with exceptional communication skills to provide fault diagnosis, solutions, and technical training to Loadrite’s distribution partners and end users. The position plays a pivotal role in maintaining Loadrite’s reputation for innovation, reliability, and excellent customer service.

As a trusted advisor and advocate for Loadrite’s distributors, the Mechanical Engineering Specialist collaborates closely with internal teams to facilitate field trials, provide input for new product development, and enhance technical documentation and processes. The successful candidate will ensure distributors are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to maximize product performance, meet end-user needs, and contribute to Loadrite’s growth in the North American region.

With responsibilities including hands-on training delivery, issue escalation, and continuous improvement of technical resources, the role supports Loadrite’s commitment to fostering strong distributor partnerships, driving product adoption, and achieving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with end customers to understand their applications, operations, and pain points.
  • Educate and train our distribution partners (dealers) on how our products help our end customers achieve their productivity goals.
  • Serve as an expert technical resource for our dealer channel and assist with identifying and quoting the correct products from the Loadrite product portfolio for specific customer applications.
  • Assist dealers with the deployment of solutions at customer sites. Support can be a combination of both remote assistance as well as travel to customer sites with dealers and assisting with installations and training.
  • Ensuring that the dealer channel can quote, install and commission these solutions is a critical role of this position. They will work closely with the sales and technical staff of our distribution partners to improve the technical selling process and the after sales installation and commissioning phases.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training material to dealer technical and sales staff.
  • Assist dealer technical staff with troubleshooting issues with products in the field.
  • Assist with the field testing of new products and software in beta development. Collect data from and support to the site and communicate with the product team on successes and challenges.
  • Assist Loadrite sales staff at trade shows, meetings of professional organizations and industry round tables.
  • Excellent communication skills – face to face, online, by phone, by email.
  • Mechanically proficient.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft 365.
  • Technical aptitude to understand product and relate this information to distributors and end user customers.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining or Machinery discipline
  • Industry technical support experience and/or product knowledge

Travel Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, it is expected that approximately 25% of the incumbents time will be spent away from home with regional travel and occasionally international.
