The Opportunity

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Specialist to work in a collaborative environment using cutting-edge CAD and modeling tools to design dry-type transformers in both 2D and 3D technologies. Your designs will meet electrical and mechanical requirements specified by customers, industry standards, and internal controls. • Utilize state-of-the-art design methods and calculations.
• Translate and deliver designs and manufacturing information efficiently.

Your Background

• High School diploma and 4 years of experience in mechanical design, OR Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or comparable Engineering Technology.
• Experience in transformer mechanical design.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, Pro-e, Creo, etc.).
• Ability to quickly learn and apply internally written programs.
• Understanding of applicable transformer and industry standards (ANSI/IEEE, NFPA, UL, CUL, CSA, IEC).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
