Job summary

Forgent is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager in Waco, TX, to lead mechanical design and drafting for liquid-filled transformer products. You will own mechanical integrity, manufacturability, and continuous improvement of transformer designs while building a growing team of drafters and engineers.

The role partners with manufacturing, quality, electrical engineering, and supply chain to deliver safe, reliable transformers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 6 years in transformer design or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and transformer design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee mechanical engineering function for high-quality, manufacturable designs.
• Develop and mentor a team of engineers and drafters; set priorities and growth plans.
• Drive design standards, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
