CesiumAstro, Inc. in Westminster, Colorado, is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers across airborne, maritime, and ground-based phased array systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive resource planning, and ensure successful execution across multiple programs while remaining hands-on in critical product development. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in ruggedized electronics packaging for aerospace/defense, enjoys mentoring, and contributes

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 4–7 years in design/analysis of aerospace or ruggedized electronics products.
• 1 year of leadership or management experience in a technical role.
• Experience designing PCBA-level and system-level electronics packaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Mechanical Engineers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development for team members.
• Support staffing, onboarding, and resource allocation across programs.
• Partner with program leadership to meet technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Develop and improve mechanical engineering processes, standards, tools, and practices.
• Mentor engineers and contribute as a senior technical contributor on design efforts.
• Lead mechanical design, analysis, and production transition activities.
