SHINE Technologies in Janesville, WI seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical engineering organization for the Chrysalis Project. You will guide design through startup and readiness, managing a team and external contractors.

The role requires a strong engineering background, leadership experience, and a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• 5+ years in engineering leadership and people management.
• Experience in a quality-controlled or configuration-controlled environment.
• Ability to balance technical quality, safety, schedules, and priorities.
• Strong communication of risks and tradeoffs to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~6 mechanical engineers and oversee ~6 engineering contractors.
• Set priorities, staffing, resources, and performance expectations.
• Ensure technical quality and timely delivery of mechanical designs, calculations, specs, and procurement packages.
• Support licensing, regulatory, quality, and configuration management across deliverables.
• Coordinate execution with Operations, Construction, Procurement, and other engineering disciplines.
• Support construction, startup, and operational readiness activities and field issue resolution.
• Drive process improvements for governance and repeatable execution.
• Represent Mechanical Engineering in project and executive reviews.
