Steven Douglas Corp. (SDC) is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the Mechanical Engineering team, own department standards, and drive technical execution for custom automation projects.

This hands-on leadership role requires developing engineers, shaping processes, and delivering high-quality solutions. You will guide mechanical concepts, ensure safety and manufacturability, and collaborate across departments to align schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years mechanical design experience.
• 5+ years leadership or management experience.
• Experience with custom industrial machinery.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop mechanical engineers and designers to improve performance.
• Plan and allocate engineering resources across projects based on priorities.
• Establish and improve engineering standards and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership for machine concepts and detailed designs.
• Collaborate with other departments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead internal and customer design reviews and support installation and startup.
