Job summary

Dauch Corporation in Ridgway, Colorado is offering a Mechanical Engineering Internship to support design of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes in a high-volume production environment.

You will develop 3D models, drawings, and prints using Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost quality, productivity, and automation initiatives while following safety and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology with graduation in 2028.
• Experience using CAD software such as Creo Parametric, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of GD&T concepts and blueprint reading.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling components used in powder compaction and hot forge processes.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and prints for tooling, gaging, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, quality, and productivity.
• Troubleshoot tooling and production issues with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Support automation projects by assisting in the design and implementation of mechanical systems.
• Participate in engineering reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain engineering documentation and update drawings as needed.
