Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology.
• Experience with CAD software such as Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling components for powder compaction and hot forge processes.
• Create 3D models and prints for tooling, gauges, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, quality, and productivity.
• Troubleshoot tooling and production issues with engineering and manufacturing staff.
• Support automation projects by assisting mechanical system design and implementation.
• Participate in engineering reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain and update engineering drawings and documentation.
• Follow safety, quality, and engineering standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

This internship provides hands‑on experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, automation, and cross‑functional problem‑solving. The selected candidate will work closely with engineers and production personnel to develop practical solutions that support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description:

• Design tooling components used in powder compaction and hot forge manufacturing processes.
• Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and prints for tooling, gaging, fixtures, and related production equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement solutions that improve manufacturing processes, quality, and productivity.
• Troubleshoot tooling and production issues alongside engineering and manufacturing team members.
• Support automation projects by assisting in the design and implementation of mechanical systems and components.
• Participate in engineering reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain engineering documentation and update drawings as needed.

Required Skills and Education
