Job summary

As an intern, you’ll work in our Mechanical Test Lab on real-world projects, including product testing, documenting and standardizing processes, updating testing equipment, and performing minor CAD work for concept designs.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards a mechanical engineering or industrial engineering degree at an accredited college or university.
• Willing to work year-round (typically 8-12 hours per week during school year, then full-time during breaks and summer when possible).
• Prefer Sophomore status, but all school years are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Mechanical Test Lab with product testing and documentation.
• Support standardizing testing processes and updating testing equipment (spray chamber, wind tunnel, dust chamber, etc.).
• Contribute to minor CAD work for concept designs.

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineering intern at J.W. Speaker, you will utilize your sharp engineering skills within a dynamic environment supporting out Mechanical Test Lab. Don't expect to sit at a desk all day - our interns work closely with our teams on a variety of tasks, including product testing, documenting and standardizing processes, updating a variety of testing equipment (spray chamber, wind tunnel, dust chamber, anvil vibration shakers, etc.) and minor CAD work for concept designs.
