ITW in Lake Forest, IL is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support GTU New Product Development. You will assist in research, testing and validation of new products, working with experienced engineers to conduct studies, develop test procedures, analyze data, build prototypes and support technology investigations.

Responsibilities include planning tests, identifying design gaps, and creating designs with Creo.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering students or graduates expected to contribute to design, testing, and analysis efforts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document results clearly.
• Experience with CAD and engineering analysis tools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Participate as a member of GTU's New Product Development team to support the development of new products and technologies.
• Assist in planning, developing, and executing engineering tests to evaluate product performance, durability, safety, and reliability.
• Identify design and performance gaps in the GTU's parts and products. Recommend and implement improvements with a focus on mechanical systems
• Create and modify component and assembly designs using CAD software ( Creo ).
• Use Engineering methodologies, develop & monitor tests to demonstrate improvements to product performance
