Job summary

Signify’s Cooper Lighting Solutions in Aurora, CO is offering a Mechanical Engineering Intern position. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop lighting products, perform mechanical and electrical testing, and validate components to meet standards.

You will own lab testing and help integrate components into cohesive designs while pursuing a degree in engineering, with potential to transition to full-time.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Experience with CAD design and mechanical analysis.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop lighting products.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical testing to ensure reliability and safety.
• Validate electrical components to meet industry standards.
• Own the laboratory testing environment and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate validation of multiple components into cohesive product designs.
