Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. in Syracuse is seeking a student engineer to join our test lab. You will use LabVIEW and Matlab to control a test system, collect data and analyze results to support PCB manufacturing.

Responsibilities include enhancing testing with LabVIEW/Matlab, creating software routines for quality control, performing thermal finite element analyses, and supporting image analysis efforts. Candidates are enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program and should have completed core ME

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program.
• Must have completed core Mech Eng Courses.
• LabVIEW programming and Matlab programming experience.
• Desirable to have Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Machine Design, Numerical Analysis/FEA, Statics.
• Good interpersonal and cooperation skills.
• Computer skills: LabVIEW, Matlab, Programming (C#, Java, SQL, C++, or other), MS Office, 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor), FEA (ANSYS, SolidWorks, etc)

Responsibilities

• Use LabVIEW & Matlab to control a test system and the collection and analysis of data.
• Enhance testing using LabView and Matlab programming and by implementing new design elements.
• Create software routines used for quality control.
• Enhance image analysis techniques.
• Responsible for other laboratory duties.
• Perform thermal finite element analyses (FEA).
