Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering for the duration of the internship.
• Experience with CATIA or similar CAD software is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle component layouts using CAD software CATIA.
• Select parts for quality-conscious design considering weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Follow project on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot, or production build and provide technical assistance.
• Generate engineering calculations of weight distribution, stress analysis, and performance estimations.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve problems.
• Assist in testing of complete vehicles or components.
• Create and manage ECN's in the PLM system.
• Design, model, and test new mechanical systems that integrate with a vehicle.
• Update bill of materials in the PDM system to reflect product changes.
• All other duties or projects as assigned.
