Job summary

National Carwash Solutions in Grimes, IA is seeking an Engineer Intern to support product development through mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, testing and documentation. You will work about 20 hours per week as part of a collaborative team, use CAD for solid modeling, and assist with design modifications while learning across departments.

Candidates are sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Candidate must be Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
  • Proficiency with CAD solid modeling.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to perform basic calculations.
  • Strong teamwork and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze projects to establish plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Design and build test fixtures.
  • Test and evaluate equipment; propose design changes.
  • Assist manufacturing and service teams with troubleshooting.
  • Work hands-on with engineering and shop personnel.
  • Collaborate across departments.
  • Develop and present final project outcomes to peers and leadership.
  • Support R&D of product innovation.
  • Manage time and coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Modify duties as needed by management.
