Job summary

National Carwash Solutions in Grimes, IA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-Op to support product development through electrical design, prototyping, testing and documentation. The role is onsite, ~40 hours per week, with a schedule from January 2027 to May 2027.

You will analyze projects, design test fixtures, evaluate equipment for improvements, and assist manufacturing and service teams with troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Sophomore–Senior).
• Comfortable working with electrical wiring and components.
• Knowledge of PCB design, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze assigned projects to develop strategies for completion, including plans, goals and objectives.
• Design and build test fixtures; test and evaluate equipment for design improvements.
• Provide troubleshooting support to manufacturing and service personnel.
• Collaborate with engineering and shop staff on equipment development.
• Develop and present final project outcomes to peers and leadership.
