Job summary

Otis Worldwide Corporation, Farmington, CT, is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering intern to join our Farmington lead design center. You will create Creo 3D models and assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems, collaborating with engineers on planning and execution.

You will apply engineering theories to modeling, simulation, and analyses, work with mentors, and present project results during design reviews and technical sessions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with 3D CAD software with an understanding of engineering processes and standards.
• Apply mechanical engineering theories to modeling, simulation, and analyses of components and systems.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail with effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Create Creo 3D Modeling to support engineering tasks following internal procedures and compliance requirements.
• Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and system designs.
• Collaborate with engineers on planning and execution.
• Prepare technical presentations or participate in design reviews.
• Collaborate with other Otis interns.
