Job summary

Otis Worldwide Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to work with experienced engineers on the design, development, testing, and validation of electronic systems used in Otis products. This internship provides hands-on experience across the product development lifecycle and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The role involves hardware design, lab testing, documentation, and participation in engineering reviews, with mentorship and exposure to global teams.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Experience with electronics projects through coursework, research, clubs, internships, or personal projects.
• Interest in product development, power electronics, IoT, embedded systems, or electrical testing.
• Familiarity with PCB design and simulation tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of electronic hardware.
• Assist with creating schematic reviews, component selection, and engineering design documentation.
• Participate in laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes and production hardware.
• Assist in developing automated test equipment, test fixtures, harnesses, and laboratory setups.
• Support product qualification, certification, and compliance testing activities under engineering guidance.
• Work with cross‑functional global teams including systems, software, mechanical, and field engineering.
• Participate in engineering reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow engineering laboratory safety practices and company procedures.
