Job summary

Oatey is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for a 12-week summer program in Cleveland, OH. Under general supervision, you'll support the Research and Development group and other disciplines within the Stage Gate process.

You'll assist with project planning, CAD modeling in SolidWorks, and documentation creation. This role offers hands-on experience in a production and office environment, with mentorship and exposure to leadership.

Qualifications

Enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program with completion of at least four semesters.
CAD software – Solid Modeling in SolidWorks.
Strong ability to understand and modify mechanical designs.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Experience with Excel and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers with project planning and documentation.
Support continuous improvement projects.
Participate in product design projects and create documentation.
Assist senior design engineers in technical support to sales, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and customer service.
Create solid computer models to predict material behavior in injection molds and other machines.
Work with cross functional teams in the development of new products.
