Oatey is offering a 12-week Mechanical Engineering Intern position in the Cleveland area, designed for undergraduate students. You will support engineers in project planning, design tasks, and documentation, while gaining hands-on experience with CAD and product development.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, exposure to stage-gate processes, and development through mentorship, with opportunities to contribute to real projects and grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate engineering student with four semesters completed.
• CAD: SolidWorks solid modeling experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with Excel and MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical engineers with project planning and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Participate in product design documentation and specifications.
• Assist senior engineers providing technical support to sales, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and customer service.
• Create CAD drawings and documentation for engineering projects.
• Create solid models to predict material behavior in injection molds and other machines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in new product development.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
