Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to learn the various areas of Mechanical Engineering within the Dematic Organization, and in support of customer projects.

The role offers opportunities for career development, competitive compensation, and global exposure. The base pay range for this role is $20.00 - $29.00 per hour, with compensation determined by location, education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to learn to maintain and repair material handling systems.
• Knowledge of CAD design software including AutoCAD.
• Familiarization with Computer Systems and Technologies.
• Ability to solve complex design issues and implement cost-efficient solutions.
• Proven communications skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization and upgrades on existing material handling systems.
• Perform site audits to collect required data.
• Support the installation of mechanical upgrades.
• Provide detailed layouts and documentation for modernization scopes.
• Create Purchase Requests and Parts Order Entry.
• Drive activities to ensure new equipment is built to specification.
• Provide technical support for Estimating, Sales, Engineering teams, and Field Operations.
