Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation in New Britain, CT is seeking an engineering intern to guide junior and senior engineers, assist with prototype build processes, and design and validate components within the scope of student capabilities.

You will participate in design reviews, support manufacturing engineering and assembly operators, process ECRs/ECOs, and contribute to Kaizen events while gaining hands-on experience with CAD models and real-world applications.

Qualifications

• Preferred Junior or Senior at an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering technology, or similar.
• Able to work in teams, follow directions, and attention to detail.
• Proficient with CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior and senior engineers with prototype build process following internal engineering standards.
• Participate in design reviews of valves or regulators, processes, and production and assembly tools.
• Assist manufacturing engineering colleagues and assembly operators.
• Assist with Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders - ECRs and ECOs.
• Participate in Kaizen events.
• CAD-model legacy components
• Evaluation and Root-cause investigation of prototype assemblies exposed to field service.
