Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a college student for a hands-on engineering internship in New Britain, CT. You will guide junior and senior engineers, assist with prototype builds, and participate in design reviews of valves, regulators, and production tools.

Responsibilities include supporting manufacturing engineering, handling ECRs/ECOs, Kaizen participation, CAD modeling of legacy components, and root-cause analysis of prototyped assemblies. Competitive hourly pay is offered.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering technology, or similar.
Able to work in teams, follow directions, and attention to detail.
Proficient with CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.

Responsibilities

Assist junior and senior engineers with prototype build process following internal engineering standards.
Participate in design reviews of valves or regulators, processes, and production and assembly tools.
Assist manufacturing engineering colleagues and assembly operators.
Assist with Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders - ECRs and ECOs.
Participate in Kaizen events.
CAD-model legacy components
Evaluation and Root-cause investigation of prototype assemblies exposed to field service.
