Job summary

Generac’s Internship Program in Wisconsin offers full-time, on-site opportunities for students pursuing mechanical engineering degrees. Roles include Product Development, Test & Validation, Simulation Engineering, and Thermal & Fluid Systems.

Duties include CAD modeling, design reviews, and collaboration with manufacturing. Participants gain real-world experience, mentorship, and exposure to industry best practices, with the potential to continue part-time during school.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Understanding or working knowledge of Pro-E and/or AutoCAD.
• Proficient oral and written communication and ability to write clearly.

Responsibilities

• Designs, validates, and brings new products to market.
• Provides support for product development plans including schedule and cost.
• Interfacing with internal personnel and providing technical support for projects.
• Creates and reviews CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Travels to other Generac facilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
