Job summary

Eaton’s Energy Transition Team is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern / Co-op in Moon Township, PA. The role can be a rotational co-op or Summer 2027 internship, with an hourly rate of $22.15–$27.69.

Assist in mechanical design and testing of energy management systems, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to new product development from concept through manufacturing launch.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with graduation no later than August 2029
• Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher
• Relocation not provided; located within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA
• No immigration sponsorship for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or related visas

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design and analysis using CAD, FEA, and kinematic simulations
• Analyze and resolve complex mechanical issues with creative designs
• Design parts and assemblies using injection molded plastic, machined/formed metal; package boards/components
• Participate in new product development, prototype testing, and design-to-industrialization
• Support enhancements of existing products per Eaton’s strategic plans
• Contribute to international project teams to research, design, test and launch innovations
