Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the summer in Carlsbad, CA, to support new product development and factory activities. You’ll work with engineers on CAD models, ECOs, and documentation, gaining hands-on design experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field at an accredited university.
• Cad/FEA tools exposure or experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures and mechanisms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products.
• Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
• Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECOs) as required.
