Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Canoga Park, CA is seeking an Intern, Mechanical Engineer to support both new product development and factory sustainment activities. You will work closely with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.

Responsibilities include processing engineering change orders and providing engineering support across programs. You must be pursuing an accredited degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and demonstrate familiarity with CAD/FEA tools and structural

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s, master's, or PhD in a mechanical/aerospace engineering field.
• Experience or familiarity with CAD or FEA tools is a plus.
• Ability to apply structural mechanics to predict stresses and instabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products
• Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation
• Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required
