Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is offering a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern position in Canoga Park, CA. The role supports both new product development and factory activities, working closely with mechanical designers on CAD models and documentation.

You will generate ECOs as needed and apply structural mechanics concepts to assess stresses and stability. Preferred candidates have exposure to CAD/FEA tools and a foundational grasp of fatigue and damage tolerance.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field at an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory support of existing products.
• Collaborate with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
• Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECOs) as required.
