Job summary

IMEG, an employee‑owned corporation, is offering a Summer 2027 Internship in Columbus, OH and adjacent locations. This 10–12 week, full‑time, in‑office program gives students hands‑on experience in building commissioning and energy performance.

Interns work on design portions of mechanical systems, research equipment, coordinate with multi‑discipline teams, and document design decisions. A mentor guides you through real project work with a clear path to full‑time roles.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of mechanical systems per code and IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment resources.
• Support client relations, project notebooks, and permanent records.
• Coordinate design and schedules with multi-discipline teams.
• Document design decisions and meetings; monitor progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final check.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job-site observations.
