Job summary

North American Rescue, LLC is seeking a student associate to support the Simulations department with design and prototyping tasks in a hands-on engineering environment.

You will work on 3-D modeling, 2-D drafting, and rapid prototyping while learning additive manufacturing and manufacturing methods. Schedule is flexible to accommodate class commitments, and on-site work at our LaGrange, KY facility is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering; proof of enrollment required.
• Knowledge of CAD and basic mechanical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with manufacturing methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and support engineering team with 3-D modeling and drafting.
• Prototype building and testing under supervision.
• Ensure shop safety and proper tool use.
• Collaborate with team to meet project needs.
