Didion Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support optimization and maintenance of mechanical processes in our dry corn mill.

You will work with the engineering team on hands-on projects and gain exposure to significant capital initiatives, while developing practical manufacturing experience. Responsabilités

  • Assist in design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical processes to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct tests and collect data to support process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports communicating findings.

At Didion, we are dedicated to producing high-quality corn products through innovative and sustainable practices. Our dry corn mill is a key part of our operations, and we are seeking a motivated and talented Mechanical Process Engineering Intern to join our team.

  • Location: Cambria, WI
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
  • Compensation: $23.00 per hour
  • Housing provided (a one time, fully refundable security deposit required).

Position Overview: As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to support the optimization and maintenance of mechanical processes within our dry corn mill. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In addition, you will gain valuable exposure to significant capital projects across the facility, contributing to project planning, execution, and continuous improvement efforts while building practical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct tests and collect data to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of tasks related to significant capital projects, including equipment installations, process improvements, and facility upgrades, while supporting project documentation, tracking, and implementation activities.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Prior internship or hands-on experience in a manufacturing or processing environment is a plus but not required.
