Job summary

Peter Basso Associates, Inc. in Troy, Michigan, invites a Mechanical Engineering Co-op to join our team.

You will assist engineers with design projects for building systems, using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software, and gain hands-on exposure to the full design process. Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor's program in mechanical engineering, maintain at least a 2.7 GPA, and have an interest in architectural engineering and engineering design.

Peter Basso Associates, Inc. aleading MEP Engineering (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) consulting firm in search of Mechanical Engineering Co-ops to join our team in Troy, Michigan. About the Co-op position:

As a MechanicalEngineering Co-op with us, you will assist engineers and designers with design projects. Our Co-op program was successfully designed to give college students a hands‑on learning experience with an accurate view into the field of engineering design for building systems. Throughout the term, you will use AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software as you work on building design and/or renovation projects. You may find yourself preparing calculations for a variety of building systems, as well as accompany the engineers on project site visits to assist in preparing field surveys and dimensioning of existing systems.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelors' degree Mechanical Engineering
• An interest in Architectural Engineering/Engineering Design
• 2.7 GPA or higher
• AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus!

Co-op students must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college, pursuing an undergraduate degree in the mechanical engineering field, and able to demonstrate a basic understanding of engineering fundamentals.
