nVent is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op in Solon, OH. The program offers rotations through Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Labs, and Compliance, giving students hands-on experience from development to production.

Candidates are pursuing an undergraduate engineering degree with a mechanical focus and must be enrolled with a 3.0+ GPA. Co-ops receive competitive pay and may lead to future opportunities with nVent.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, mechanical or mechanical engineering technology preferred.
• Full-time or part-time student enrolled at an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Available to complete a full-time co-op for 8 months in Solon, OH and able to provide own transportation

Responsibilities

• Rotations between Product Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Labs and Compliance, and Digital Media Development.
• Perform engineering calculations to analyze product designs for functionality and specification accuracy.
• Assisting with resolution of technical issues related to product design, system design, and compliance with industry standards
• Participating in site visits and working with end-user customers
• Using 2D and 3D modeling software to create and maintain engineering documentation
