Job summary

PI (Physik Instrumente), LP invites a motivated mechanical engineering student to join our team in Shrewsbury, MA as an engineering intern. You will collaborate with product development engineers to produce detailed drawings and 2D CAD layouts for precision motion systems, while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include CAD support, loading data into the PLM system, and contributing to projects from R&D to instrument testing.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time academic program majoring in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detail and assembly drawings for precision motion systems.
• Provide general CAD support to design engineers.
• Generate 2D CAD drawings from 3D solid model layouts.
• Load design information into PLM system.
• Work on a variety of engineering projects from R&D to building/testing instruments.
