Job summary

Sonos, Inc. is seeking motivated Mechanical Engineering co-ops for a 6‑month program in Boston, MA. This full‑time role provides immersion in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team focused on consumer electronics design and testing.

You will develop skills in 3D/2D CAD, DFM, structural/thermal analysis, and rapid prototyping while contributing to test plans and manufacturing readiness. Successful candidates are enrolled in an engineering program and can work in Boston four days per week.

Qualifications

• Fundamental interest in mechanical design and manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Be immersed in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
• Develop skills in mechanical design, DFM, simulation & analysis, and rapid prototyping
• Understand the Mechanical Engineering role as a systems integrator in consumer electronics
• Transform requirements into optimized solutions including test planning, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing
• Design components, assemblies and fixtures for testing in acoustic, thermal/structural, radio and UI/UX areas
• Participate in failure analysis and iterative design processes
