Job summary

Acuity Inc. CREATE builds a two-year rotational program for early-career Mechanical Engineering talent. Participants rotate every six months across New Product Development, Sustaining, VAVE, and Manufacturing, gaining hands-on experience and business acumen.

The role starts January 11, 2027, in Decatur, GA, with a hybrid work model and potential rotations to Crawfordsville, IN and Des Plaines, IL. Ideal candidates have a Mechanical Engineering degree (Master's preferred) and strong CAD skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience with CAD tools; Solidworks preferred.
• Product design experience is a plus.
• Prototyping/fabrication experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; time management.
• Travel ability up to 20% based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• CAD development and drafting for projects.
• Prototype development and validation activities.
• Certification testing and verification.
• Factory handoff and project management support.
• Rotational experiences across New Product Development, Sustaining, VAVE, and Manufacturing.
