Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for an Assistant Professional Professor of Mechanical Engineering, non-tenure track, to begin Fall 2027. The successful candidate will teach four to five courses per semester across solid mechanics, manufacturing processes, mechanical systems design, and rigid-body dynamics.

We seek a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field (ABD considered) with university teaching experience.

Qualifications

• An earned Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Advanced ABD considered.
• Track record or interest in teaching solid mechanics, mechanical systems design, manufacturing processes, and/or rigid-body mechanics.
• At least one year of university teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach four to five courses per semester in the listed areas.
• Provide service to the department and participate in curriculum activities.
• Engage with students to promote learning and professional development.
