Faculty rank and tenure status will be determined upon review of qualifications. Applications from candidates with backgrounds in the mechanical engineering sub-disciplines of solid mechanics, manufacturing processes, mechanical systems design, and/or rigid-body mechanics / dynamical systems analysis are sought. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses and develop and refine curriculum in these areas, to mentor students, and to develop a research program in the applicant’s discipline of study. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in the development of the new Ph.D. in Engineering program.The Department of Engineering prepares well-educated, highly skilled, and socially and professionally responsible engineers and engineering technologists from various populations of students so that they can have productive and rewarding careers at local, state and national levels.
